Heredity and Atopic Dermatitis (Atopic Eczema)
Unlike psoriasis, atopic dermatitis (atopic eczema) already develops during the first few month of life. Often so-called infant eczema is present right from the start and then develops into atopic eczema. Atopic eczema probably occurs a little more frequently than psoriasis; this is has to do with the additional allergies that accompany atopic eczema and the resulting intermixture of genetic predisposition for atopic eczema and a predisposition to allergies. This book contains information on this topic.
