Excerpt from the book
Nutrition and Atopic Dermatitis (Atopic Eczema)
As in the case of psoriasis, the person suffering from atopic dermatitis (atopic eczema) has a certain predisposition: the body cannot properly process certain substances that are, for example, absorbed along with food. Unlike psoriasis, atopic eczema is accompanied by additional allergies. Small children must therefore avoid certain foodstuffs, and a mother may have a hard time ensuring that her child receives a balanced diet. As well as the allergies, the immature body of a small child is still learning how to handle the intake of food and is dealing with much that is new. Finding the right course for the nutrition of a child with atopic eczema is therefore a complicated endeavor. This book aims to explain what is important in order to find lasting relief.
