Triggers for Psoriasis or Neurodermatitis
The reactions that take place in our body are for the most part not determined by only a single cause with regard to their type and intensity. Rather, they are subject to a variety of control mechanisms. We make this statement at the beginning of this section for the purpose of more clarity in the explanation of triggers for psoriasis or neurodermatitis. Psoriasis and neurodermatitis are associated with a higher sensitivity to specific groups of substances that is intensified by the activity of the disease. Normally the body processes specific aromatic substances, for example those made from citrus fruit peel or grapes, quite imperceptibly. People with psoriasis or neurodermatitis are unable to do this, with the result that the body reacts with worsening of the symptoms.
